Open Ended

Alright, this isn't all of my Andrew's Birthday Playlist, but it is a sample. 100 songs. Some of which are here because Andrew sings them, or drums them (Adonis, Sweet P Jesus--aka the Salavating Pavlovs). Some of them are here because Andrew & I saw the band live together (Ben Kweller, Death Cab for Cutie, Dashboard Confessional, Cex, lots of others). Some are just local bands, or stuff I played on KRNU (Bright Eyes, Catfight!) and that makes me think of the time Andrew came on my radio show. Some of them just remind me of Andrew for reasons I don't really know (Hey There Delilah, Jude), and he might hate the song, but I like it. Some of them are here because I know he doesn't like them (Beautiful Day, anything by The Coral) but I do, and when I hear them, I remember that. Some are here because they're bands we both like (Smashing Pumpkins, The Smiths). Some are here because Andrew introduced me to the band--whether he likes them or not (Taking Back Sunday). Some are songs I remember driving around Lincoln listening to with him(Coldplay, OK Go).

I think that pretty much covers everything on this list.
